..They look great my friend..But if i was to produce
strikers i would try to create a somewhat slanted end
i dont know why..i just picked one up one day and it
seems easy to operate...just a idea for ya..take care.

Great lookin work BT!As with Totoe I also like a little more taper to the tip of the my striker!Alot of wooden strikers can also be top heavy and have an uneven balance.A good balanced stiker is easy as well as smooth to operate in my hands anyway.I also like a little thinner bodied striker because they tend to give me a crisper, sharper note!I have to ask,Adrian are those made out of some top secret wood found only around the Ontario area? Hey I got a question for ya BT,why is it that almost every striker and surface you use it on have a sweet spot?I'm sure that you've picked up a new turkey scratcher and played around with it till you found the sweet spot that produces music to your ears and hopefully the turkeys for that matter!I've even gone so far as to mark my striker and some of my sufaces as to where the sweet spot is instead of trying to find it by trial and error!Take care my friend!Bob

Thanks Guys , These are the first ones I've made. There is no cedar , most woods are some I have not heard of in strikers,The one with the grain is very hard to turn , I broke 6 before getting one to work. But it sure sounds good to my ears one of the best I believe. Bob , I believe that a sweet spot is a different thickness in the call or where the wood or material is course. This will change the sound of the call a little in that area from the rest .I maybe wrong aswell....BT
