RE: Who has a Mossberg 535
MuskegonJim- Thanks for the tip on the limbsaver, I will go pick one up before I go shooting Sunday, might be able to find one at the Outdoorama this weekend.
Deerhuntr107- I love the way it fits for sure, have not fired it yet but am anxious to do so.
As for chokes?, I will shoot the stock one and see how that is before I start experimenting around. I will give a post after I shoot.

RE: Who has a Mossberg 535
I still havent done any shooting yet but here is an email I sent to Nitro:
I just recently got a mossberg 535 and being that its a new gun I honestly cant find any patterning info on the net. I dont mind putting in the time afield I just dont want to have 3-4 unused chokes laying around with 7 boxes of shells. I will be 100% honest with you, I was thinking of getting a jellyhead choke and some winchester supreme xteneded range turkey load for it. But have you guys done any testing with a mossberg 535? If you have some solid #'s already I would have to go with you. Thanks for your time.
Jim
And here was there response:
Hi,
I would recommend our Item #H51013M (2-1/4oz) #4x5x7 hevi-shot with either a Rhino .660 Choke or a Primos Jelly Head .660 choke. Either choke with that load will give you between 230 and 270 pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards.
Shoot Straight,

RE: Who has a Mossberg 535
I bought one last year and equipped it with a Comp-N-Choke XXXFull shooting 3-1/2" Xtended Range #5 shot. At 30 yards it was throwing a pattern that would put 256 pellets in a 10" circle. However, my gun is shooting high and will be seeing a new set of sights this year. Also, you might want to check on putting a Limbsaver recoil pad on it. The gun is so light, it is brutal on the shoulder. The pad that fits the Browning Gold works perfect on the 535.
Good luck with the new canon and let us know how you set your gun up.
