That looks great, gravity feeder with a feed tray? Did you drill holes in the tray for rain to run out? I do like the gravity feeders due to easy maintenance and no batteries....

yeait is a gravity feeder ,no timer and yes there are holes in the tray for rain to run out..i started to make these types of feeders about 2 yrs ago but i made them with 5 gal buckets and they ran out way to fast and weusually dont go to the ranch during the summer because theres nothing to hunt but hogs and so now i could fill up the 55 gal drum and should last a good 6 months....i would like the turkeys to start getting use to it when it comes to turkey season....

Thanks kidd for sharing those pics. I do believe you just showed me a way to recycle all them barrells we have laying around. I am tired of making BBQ's LOL. Thanks again. How much feed does that hold?

i believe it holds about 5 or 5 1/2 bags of 50 lb feed so about 250 lbs of feed i would think

what did you use for the pan at the bottom to hold the feed. I'm going to build some but didn't know what to use for the pan THANKS

thats the same thing i was having trouble with finding so i just made it my self out of an old lid of a 55 gal barrel and i just hit it with a hammer and shaped it into a pan and then i got some flat bar for the outside of it just to make it sronger

I'm not sure who makes it.....but Cabela's sells a similar model. I think theres is a 30 gal. drum. Mine is a bit larger, I think. I bought it at a deer outdoor expo. It's gravity fed, and I use it for deer and turkeys.

well i thank you guys for all yalls replies and im fixin on going this next full moon and ill take pictures of the damage im pretty sure something will be broken due to the pigs and if not all the ground around it will be torn up.....those darn hogs...
