too close?

will my jelly head form too tight of a pattern for the birds that come to 15 yards or so. how tight will my pattern be at 15 yards, shooting hevi 13 #5 with the jelly head choke tube? thanks for any tips.

RE: too close?

nobody but your gun can answer that for you. You have to shoot it and see. You should be blasting a whole in a target at 15 yds.

The other thing is even if the pattern is only a couple inches that should be no problem. I mean if I asked you if can you shoot a squirrel at 15 yds with a .22 would you say no problem? A turkey is bigger than a squirrel and a tiny little tight pattern of #5's is still bigger than a .22 bullet.

Just get out there and shoot a bunch. Know your gun and know how to shoot it.

Place in center of a 30" Circle and Start @ 40yds, moving in 5yds at a time! This will give you an idea.

At 15 yards your gun should be shooting a group about the size of a softball with the bulk of the shot putting a hole in the center of the pattern... I definetly don't want a Gobbler closer than 20 yards with any of my turkey guns;)
