Solid decoy

I was at BPS, yesterday.....and saw a solid, painted decoy. Do you guys have any experience with these? It was about $100.

I apologize if this has been visited, before.....but I am usually in the bowhunting forum.

Thanks.

$100.00 for just one hen decoy, thats alittle to rich for my blood .

RD....I'd agree.....but I'd pay more for a decoy if I thought it would get that bird to commit, more often (based on realism). There's guys using REAL, stuffed hens that I'm sure cost more than $100.

Just wondering.......if anyone had any experience with them.

any ole decoy will work.......I also don't pay more than a few bucks and have bought most my flock from garage sales!

I'm sure they will, JW.....but would you agree some are better than others? There's likely a reason the guys are using the stuffed hens. I'm just trying to find out if people have heard of or had any personal knoledge/experience with the solid decoy.

Thanks.

Guys.....with ALL due respect....I'm not really wanting to debate their cost. If they were ALL FREE......would you use the solids over the ones you have? Would you use a real, stuffed hen over the ones you have?

If cost were not an issue.....

Thanks!

If one was given to me ... yes I would try it and your right , this isn't about cost.
Those solid decoys look close enough to be real , the detail and color is great.
As for the stuffed hen decoys , I would try those too .

Right on. They just want your money. I can kill a turkey usinga feather flex just as easy as I can with the mounted version or the solid one, and save 90.00 to 400.00 dollars.

Thanks, RD. I appreciate it.

The question was REAL simple. Thanks for your direct answer.
