I am truly sorry for your loss. I don't findanything offensive about a grieving father and your way of doing it.Had my first daughter 3/14/02.lost a second child 10/03. makes meevalutemy relationship with her, the third girl,and my wife.

I'm 42...and married my wife when her (now "our") son was 11. I don't know the feelings involved in fathering and then having that son come into the world. I can't imagine the MYRIAD of feelings involved in losing that same miracle. I feel for you....and I appreciate your method of coping and honoring your son. I lost my lab of 9.5 yrs, the day after Christmas, this past yr. I had a somewhat similar story involving another gift from God and a lone doe that she helped me recover on her last hunt. The day (yours)was MUCH more than just your hunt. It was huge. I am truly sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Jeff |
