Bow or Gun Blind or sit by a tree?
 

How many of you hunt turkeys with your bow or do you take your shotgun? I personally prefer my bow, but if it gets towards the end of the season i will also take my shotgun along with for the times i can't get a shot with the bow.

When your hunting do you use a blind or do you just set up against a tree? I prefer my blind, because it lets me move around alittle bit more without getting spotted, and easier to get the bow drawn back or if needed put the bow down and get the shotgun.

I like to hunt with a shotgun, and i usually just sit down by a big ol tree.

sometimes I like to make a "ground blind" which usually is just a couple of branches in front of me to help break up my outline.

I've been a shotgun hunter for turkeys, never did try with a bow. I can't tell you how many times I've had a bow in my hands in the fall with turkeys all around but no tags in my pack... Last fall I had a great shot at a longbeard all by his lonesome facing away from me, but the landowner of that property has a strict NO TURKEY HUNTING policy, he likes turkeys...keeps the tick population down [:'(]so I don't bother getting tags. I may get my CT archery licence early this year so if I have a bird down early I may try setting up with my blind for bird #2 with a bow.

I always use a bow , it's the only way I hunt and I use my Double Bull T5 ground blind for turkeys and sometimes when I'm deer hunting.

I use a shotgun and sit up against a tree. I have been wanting to try using my bow, just haven't gotten around to it!

I use a shotgun and sit up against a tree. To me using a blind would just slow you down in case you have to move quickly.

I strictly bowhunt as of late and always use a DB blind. When I go with others that are using shotgun, the blind stays at home. I like to be more mobile when using shotgun.
