thinking like a boss tom!
 

last season my buddy took me to one of his favorite hunting spots. he had told me about this boss tom that he and about 5 other hunters had been hunting since the beginning of the season.(this is public hunting land) it was now the end of the season. i had with me one of my favorite calls aluminum friction and glass peg. well it worked on this boss he came right down the middle of the road gobbling every 30 seconds. the only problem was that i had set up in the wrong spot or i would have nailed him. well the very next morning i was back after him with the same call and he did'nt even respond. so this bird ended up stumping me as well. any advice as to what i could have done better?

I am no pro,but the only thing I can think of would be that he heard the same hen the day before and did not find her.Maybe he was suspicious and didn't want to chance it.
