Thanks for the comments, but nobody has answered my berrel length question. Is a shorter barrel better for turkey hunting? Or is just a mobility thing?

I think a long barrel would help you in the way of accuracy, but that's about it, IMO. 'Cause a longer barrel is just a longer object for the turkey to spot your movement. A shorter barrel shouldn't be a problem, since you're only going to be shooting at 30 yards or so.
