thats my best, dont laugh at the mug shot it was a rough night the night before. has no head because a dog ate it off. lol we laid it down with our vests and hit the woods again to try and get my friend a bird. came back a a black lab was standing there grinning. didnt notice head was gone till we went to take pic.

My friend Jacobs best bird.

colbys best

and this is jarrods best.

all from this past year, and im countin the hours till this springs opener. this year were tag teaming though so we can get these hunts on film, hopefully within the next two seasons we can publish a turkey hunting video without the sponsors or advertising, just the hunts.

Here is a picture of my better half with an OklahomaRio longbeard to finish out her first ever slam! On the last morning we had left to hunt she made an on the run shot to take the old boy.She was feeling the preasure. She earned this bird.We took this picture 5 minutes after the killed her bird and 30 minutes before she got 5 stiches over her eye from the scope. You can see it in the picture. She packed it off better than I think I would have. She slow doubled with a buddy on this hunt.I'm the grinner in the back.
To all you young pups out there this is the type of wife you need to look for!!!!

Killed eight birds this past year. I'll list below and the state I killed them in. Got most of it on film for mysponsor. Hope yall enjoy.

(1) Georgia
(2) Kentucky
(3) Ohio
(4) Kentucky
(5) Ohio
(6) Maryland
(7) West Virginia
(8) New York

This year I'm going for the slam. I'll start in Florida and end up in Michigan. I'm going to hunt Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Michigan, Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Ohio (possibly Pennsylvania and Indiana...just depends). I took off a little over a month, so this will be quite entertaining. Hope everyone has a great year and hope you enjoy the pics. GOD bless!

David

This image goes from left to right starting with Georgia being 1st state I hunted in from list above.

Nice birds everyone.

Deeg- That is simply amazing that you get to travel to different states and turkey hunt for a month straight. How do you get yourself hooked up with something like that? Is it your job? That has to cost a fortune in out of state tags, lodging, etc? Wow, that is awesome.

Hey Scott, very nice for a Mechanic!Congrat's

Thanks Reb! My best is still in the freezer, he's 24lbs, has a 10 1/2 beard, and 1 1/2 spurs. Both taken spring of 05. I got to find someone around here that can freeze dry the heads. also my son's hen he shot in the youth season in 06 is next to him. She had a 8 1/2 inch beard. I want to do both of them standing side by side, like if they were a mating pair, maybe with one with it's wings outstretched. I may be a wrench by day, but I dream of deer and turkey by nite!:D:D:D

Here's a few pics. of some recent birds from the Western Finger Lakes Region of NY.

I called the one in the first couple of pics. in for my little brother on openingmorning in '05. I killed the one in the third pic. on opening morning of the '06 season and wassittingonly 40 yds. or so from where my brother shot his the previous year.I was actually set up by the two big trees over my dad's head in the first pic. I shot the next one a couple of days later. I couldn't believe it...I was tagged out after only two hunts that lasted a combined two hours! Hopefully, I can keep the streak alive this spring. The last one I calledin for my cousin a couple of days later. It was an awesome hunt for his first spring gobbler.

I'm starting to get the fever already...can't waitfor May so I can get outthere and chasethose olelongbeards around again!!!

Damn, I would say that looks pretty good. Whenyou say first attempt at taxidermy, do you mean first turkey attempt? or first any kind of animal attempt? How/where did you learn?

The first picture is of some turkeys that flushed in front of me while out on a walk. I had camera ready when they flushed and I've always liked how this one turned out...

Following pix are some of birds I've taken over the past years mostly in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I use a tripod/timer as most are taken solo so the quality isn't the best on some. Only have so much time to get in picture!! Is it spring yet???????
