I apply for 30 but have never gotten a permit in 5 years of trying for that zone. I always get my second choice, zone 21 which works out well most years. Good luck to all! By the way, I took some pictures today on my way back to work at 2pm of more than 100 turkeys in a harvested soybean field.

Ya i like going for the first week. Usually where i hunt there all gobbling and wat not. I just love waking up and stumbling out in the woods and listening to that.

Zone 18,trying for 2nd or 3rd week, It's hard to get for a non-resident,I've got one preference point and figured I wouldn't even try for first season. Last year they were giving away 6th season OTC!

Last year was my first year,I had a blast 1st week in 21. This year i missed the cutof so im hoping i can get some otc permits.I dont know what the chances are of that happening,But ive got unlimmited time,so i can hunt any zone.

I've turkey hunted wisconsn for 8 years as a resident and this will be the first year trying as a non-resident. I applied for forth season. Hell, even when I was a resident, I applied for forth season. IMO, third and forth are the best seasons. Most of the hens are laying and the Toms are vulnerable. Last year I drew a forth and fifth season tag. Tagged out in both with my fifth season bird being a 23 lb,3 bearded Tom. I say the later, the better. So hopefully it helps me in drawing a nonresident tag this year as well.

This is my second year. Hunted zone 30 last year. Hoping for zone 28 this year. Its a bit closer to home. I would like to give the recurve a try.

I put an appplication in, it will be my first year hunting turkey. Zone 7.

For the over the counter process can anybody buy a tag or only people who applied originally? If anybody can I might try to convice one of my brother-in-laws to get one to try turkey hunting with me.
