hi im new here and i like to ask a few questions about what gear would be good for me likere these good calls:

Is this a good vest: http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=37820&hvarDept=400&a mp;hvarEvent=&hvarClassCode=16&hvarSubCode =4&hvarTarget=browse The reason there stuff isn't that good is im on a tight budget If there is anthing i need please tell thanks in advance. |

Yes those are both good i made that mastake when i first started i droped a thousand dollars like that. And then learned just because its cheap don't mean it ain't good now all i carry is a crow call a oll yeller slate & a primos box call an rem 870 and my vest i've had for 8 years turkeys don't know the difference i wish this site was around when i got started

I myself love the Quaker boy mouth calls. As for the vest its ok, but you need to think pockets and space for turkey hunting. I would go with a better vest... Just my thoughts......

I would go with a vest with a padded back. Due to the fact that you will sit for 1-2 hours at one spot and your back will get sore causing you to move around ,and you don't want to be moving at all if you can help it. This is what I've experienced when hunting seems they haven't made any padded trees or rocks in my area that I can sit against. But if it were me thats what I would do.
