Writing a research essay on Turkey hunting in OR..
 

Can anyone suggest where I might be able to get some solid figures on the # of birds and where they are most concentrated in my state. I checked the Fish and Game website and there is very little mention of Turkeys at all. I was thinking about trying to contact the NWTF and some local clubs in the state. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I am a Turkey hunter myself. My in-laws accross the road from us have over 200 acres with Wild Turkeys on it so I have never had to venture far to get a bird. It don't get much better than that but sort of leaves you in the dark as to the rest of the hunting in the state.

I would try the NWTF they publish some of that type information in their magazine so I am sure they have it available. If you are not a member and they won't share it with you let me know and I will contact them.
