Bonnie(JustAnnie) is a female call maker that i met online....i've watched her learning and asking questions, then one day she had a call posted and she's only gotten better from there.....anyone interested in one of her calls, give me p.m. and i'll hook ya up.... she had an idea of making a call from every state's state tree....well ours is the sable palm, not really a tree at all, the heart usually rotts first so finding one that actually had a heart was nearly impossible, so i cut her a piece from a down tree, i really didn't think it would work because it's a fiberous tree, like a shredded wheat, lol...but she worked her majic and here it is...
I just wanted the world to know how much i appreciate this call she made for me....not only is it a WONDERFUL all around call, but the fact that it is from Toso., that place has my heart and this call is from the heart of a Tosohatchee Sable palm....doesn't get any better than that....Thank you so much ! ! !
I admit, i was leary about the sound that would come from it, i really didn't think the wood would make a good call...she out did herself ........sounds and looks awesome...... :Dpics do not do it justice........

The state tree here in North Cakalaky is the long leaf pine.

i have asked her how much they are, waiting on a reply and i was told that she will make one out of the longleaf as soon as she gets the wood....:)

I started charging $30 for the domestic type woods (cedar, cypress, sycamore....) I charge $40 for the exotics that I have, padauk, canary, zebra, and just got some leopard wood.

I include priority shipping with each call.

Give medimentions and I'll have some PA Hemlock cut and in the drying racks in short order.

Hi wayomic, I use pieces of lumber 4x4 1.5 inches thick on my calls. I onlymake 3" calls.

Yep, it's a copper top on it. Seems to be that copper tops are getting to be more and more popular.

After looking at these calls, I asked for two myself.

All I can say is wow, these things are beautiful. I suspect that I might take the cedar/copper into the woods but I doubt the leopard wood/slate will ever get dirty. I have them sitting on a shelf display under my fan/spurs mount in the living room.

All this for close to what the plastic pot calls from the big manufacturers cost.
