Asisde from the price difference, Who would choose a Remington over a Benelli??????? No one, in their right mind. Benelli all the way. I have a SBEand love it. Definitely the most reliable gun and easist to take care of.

Remingtons have put more turkeys d!@#'sin the dirt than any other shot gun out there... Benelli who?

And as far as patterns go I'll put my 870SPS up against a Benelli any day... And I'll take the extra money and buy another gun

Mr. Longbeard, in chase's post he wanted to compare the 11-87 and the SBE II. If you seriously think that the 11-87 is superior to the SBE II, YOURE CRAZY!!!

I could argue this forever and we would still disagree. To each their own.

The Benelli is made in Italy and doesnt change my opinion on it nor does it change its performance. Benelli makes top of the line shotguns, bottom line. I too have owned a Remington 870, great pump gun and probably my favorite. I killed several turkeys with it and the guy i sold it to has turned it into his turkey gun. BUT i replaced it with my benelli and would not change back if i was paid.

Yes, I do hunt private land and I aslo hunt public land. I have killed turkeys on both places with no problem. If you know how to hunt turkeys is doesnt matter where you hunt.

Try get parts for a Benelli. I waited for over a year forone lousy part that broke. This was a few years ago, but I'm still leery about their parts availability. You never appreciate Made in America until you get a problem like that!!

Aside from that, I have a SBE and I love it (for waterfowl), but I shoota Mossberg 935 short barrel for turkeys.

personally i don't think a benelli is worth the hype i love my remingtons and secondly i own a 870 so a 11-87 would interchange with my chokes and other items my jelly head will screw right in to the 11-87 super mag i have my eye on as we speak !!
