FINALY the first day out!
 

SSunday was the first day i went out turkey hunting. I had a big one coming in, and responding very well, when all of a sudden he stopped. I was in thick cover and he sounded close but i didnt see him. I could hear a hen, or better caller, a ways away so i think he went off to that. I also think my decoy wasnt in a good spot, but oh well. And i have a question, Will crows give away your spot? A whole bunch of crows were calling right above me, just about when the turkey left. I probably made a whole bunch of other novice mistakes, but i cant think of any yet.

I've never had crows give my location that I know of, but crows will make a racket when they see a turkey strutting, are you sure he wasn't coming in to you silent and strutting?
