1st Tom ever (pic)
 
Here he is, I've taken jakes before but this is my 1st Tom. Friday May 5 at 9:30am I saw the top of his fan over ther top of the scrub brush in front of my blind, 20min later (seemed like 24hrs, talk about hanging up) I pulled the trigger.

17lb 10oz
3/4" spurs
9" beard

270, he was at 40 yrds, I was having a celibration smoke when he started flopping away across the field, the finishing shot almost decapitated him.

He looks huge ,you sure he only went 17 lbs :D;) I guess pictures can be deceiving.

Doesn't look like he flopped much after the second shot ;)

The "resurrecting" powers of a turkey never ceases to amaze me. On more than one occasion I have witnessed them come back to "life" after doing the flop acting routine. They are tough no doubt about it.
