Day 33, I've had enough!
 

Not a sound to be heard today, but you can bet whoopbutt was on the prowl. Well, I've had enough, didn't want to do this, but I'm pulling out all the stops.

I went to the dime store today and bought me one of those little rubber turkeys, now named, Whoopbutt. I bought some needles and a book on incanting. When I got homeI got out my chicken leg bones. He might as well come on out tomorrow and stand before me and pay his dues.

Have y'all ever heard of a screaming gobbler, well there is such a thing, not many, but some do it. Well, when I get thru poking all those needles in whoopbutt (the rubber one), and chanting those incantations over him, then rubbing those chicken bones on him, y'all are gonna hear a true screamer. Bet he'll be heard clear across the US, y'all just listen in the morning.

It's his fault, I've done my part to be fair, now we play by my rules.

Man have a big tall glass of Jack on ice and start stickin that rubber ducky....errr....rubber Whoopbutt and pass it some bad Juju! I would start with the eyes with a double pin in each! that way he won't see ya comin'!

dog1, I've been following your story on whoopbutt since the beginning and I look forward to reading each days events. I hope you get him before the season ends so we can all have some "closure" over this elusive gobbler. If he doesn't fall this year, think about how he'll be next season!;):D

I know what you are going thru dog1, I was still hunting the last week of the Ohio turkey season last year. There was day's when I would be out till noon and never here a thing. Other day's I would hear them but could never get one to come in. Good luck the rest of the way and keep the old chin up..

You betcha, I got one the second weekend of our season, and have called in 5 others. This bird has just about driven me to drinkin more.
