Question for you pros...

Im a lifelong deer hunter but I just took up turkey hunting 2 years ago (without success, I might add). I always see a lot of hens on my property while deer hunting, but yesterday I saw toms for the first time. Heres my question: I saw two BIG toms with four hens at noon yesterday from my deerstand (new spot, never hunted there before). My question is will this be a good place to set up for turkey in the spring? Will these toms hang out in this same territory?
Thanks much!

RE: Question for you pros...

..This is just a thought from a 25,plus years turkey hunter
not a pro...I will say they will be right there close by..
(IF)there is food there,(IF)they are not poached,(IF)they
are not taken by predaters, and one more (IF)you can kill them.
...just kidding..they will be there....:)...

..JESUS IS COMING BACK BE READY...

RE: Question for you pros...

If the turkeys fall area food sources conicide with
the spring food source and nesting area then they
should still be in the area during the spring.
Alot of times i will see 10 or 15 gobblers in the
river swamp bottom where i hunt during the fall but
come spring time you cant find a track. They are now
with the hens at their nesting grounds a mile away.
On the other hand. My other hunting property (120 acres)
Holds turkeys all year.
