OHIO bird down!!
 

another one for team 6.....sunday i woke early and had several toms gobblin all day...they kept spookin on me and henning up...i was about to call it quits at 3pm when i decided to try the bottom woods...when i got there i heard alll kinds of noise and cackles.. i set up my decoy and looked around when i saw two gobblers fighting ( first time i've seen it in the woods), i let out a few calls and sure enough i seen their heads bobbin in the brush torward me... , the one came out in full strut streched his neck up and BANG!.. he's down 23.5 pounds, 10.5 inch beard, and 1 inch spurs. not to bad for the first day and what a way to kick off the season:) , now i can try to get another.. i'll post pics when i can and if they'll work.

How old are you OhioBowhunter56 ? I was thinking that Saturday and Sunday was the youth season in Ohio..

congrats Ohiobow.... went out both days for the youth season, but didnt have any luck... we heard them and had a hen come in, but thats about it. congrats again.
