I have entered a post awhile back about turkeys in coyote country and seems they are more cautious. Well I finally got the old boy at 10:30 this morning. I was out the day before and he talked to me for 2 hours and he just wouldn't come in. This morning it was windy and I just kept calling for 1.5 hours and finally I was 2 birds down 100 yards from me and I called afew more times and he came runner for the decoys. He had 10 inch beard and one spur was broke off and the other was broke off half ways. It was 22 lbs. This bird has given me the slip for two years.

JW I do got pictures but it tells me that file is to large. I haven't ever tried to post a picture so I tried it. I will get it figured out and send one. Say I emailed you so you can check for mail JW.

good job. I live in coyote country, and usually my blood gets boiled later in summer when the young turks are being hunted by the yotes. So, I go beyond my normal means of dispatching a can of whoopass on them throughout the year.
