RE: Primos Gobbler shaker

The only time I tried it while hunting I was on private land that nobody else was supposed to be hunting, and the only answer I got was somebody by the road who sounded like he was cutting up a storm on a box call trying to get me to come in. That was the last time I tried it.

When you pump those things, it sounds more like a canadian goose than a turkey.

Maybe I am not doing it right.

You must be doing something wrong. Are you pumping it fast? It's much easier to control than by shaking it. There are a few shakers that sound good, but the Primos sounds better pumped. You must pump it rapidly. Keep doing it and you will get the right tone and cadence eventually.

RE: Primos Gobbler shaker

I have used it a few times including this last weekend when I got my tom. I had set up a jake and a hen in the mating positionalong with another hen. Therwas gobbling and yelping every where so I yelped softly and used the Primos Gobbler Shaker 2 times only. I started with a wing just beforeI thought the birds would fly down than another jus after they flew down. I think the Shaker just helps make them feel safer and they gobbled at it. I always keep it with me hunting.
