Roads
 
why do turkeys like roads? i found and area with my dad and every time we go to that are wesee turkey poo. we are going saturday so i was thinking should we set up on the right side of the road and wait for the toms to come out of the left side or what should we do?

IMHO, two reasons, like deer the path of least resistance and vision. Can see up and down road real clear and easy to travel. Second, if he can see she can see him strutting, probably using it to strut for hens that might venture along that path of least resistance! :D[8D]

I agree with JL turkeys are just like us they are lazy and like the lest resitance kind of trail and paths. They also might be using this spot as a dusting area.

Yes bradisthebest is right, on the land I owned, use to find a spot in the middle of road and they had been dusting! [8D]
