RE: Winchester 1300 problem
Try raising your head a little higher from where you normally rest it. You will be seeing more of the vent rib when you do this. Now sight the same and your shot pattern should come up. This will happen because as you lift up your head while sighting down the gun barrel, the bead will appear to be going lower. Thus you will pull the gun up to compensate, and your pattern will come up. With a little bit of trial and error to find out where you need to rest your head, you should be able to get teh pattern right on. When I first got my model 1300 Winchester I couldn't hit the side of a barn from the inside. Then I started paying attention to how I was looking down the barrel. Now I can hit pretty good. But the Tru-Glo sights helped a lot also Well for turkey targets any way I hope this helps |
RE: Winchester 1300 problem
What was said about raisin your head is very true.It will raise your shot pattern.Something to keep in mind though. If shootin that way is unnatural for ya It'll be alot easier to remember to keep your head up while shootin at paper than when ya got a big ole longbeard at 25 yds and 50 million other things are runnin through your mind.I would still reccomend gettin the barrel checked by a gunsmith. This could be why the gun was put up for sale.
