locating in the rain...need quick advise
hey fellas, im going scouting this weekend and it is suppose to rain. Im going either waym, but i was wandering if turkeys still respond to locater calls in the rain? I think it would hard to see tracks and sign in the rain because it would get washed out? What are yall opinions? Will locating work the same? Will scouting work the same? Any help is appreciated, please inform me of how you scout when it rains. thanks alot.

since your going out anyway...(good for you by the way)...yep, they do respond in the rain...maybe not as much as if it were a clear day (maybe some of the other guys can tell ya what they've seen)...some of the places you may want to focus on is fields and open cuts in the turkey woods...

Hi geterdun from my experence in locating birds in the rain i would look in the fields and the small bush openings and also they will ussually roost in conifers trees if it is raining hard and yes they will be vocal even in the rain.
