friend calling

Is it legal for one of my firends to call for me even though he does not have a hunting permit...can he just sit there with me n call as i would take the shot?

May depend on the particular laws in state your hunting in.

Ray is correct, depends upon the state.

Check your Game Laws book, it should be in there. Look for things regarding "Helping with the hunt", accompanying hunters or something like that!

I do know that if you've already "tagged out", you can call for another hunter (but being "Tagged Out", you have a license)

I agree check the regulations of your state.

In Illinois if you're hunting on public land that requires a special permit, you must have a permit for that specific season, there are 5 seasons 5days each. The only exception is during the youth hunt when you do not need a permit but cannot carry a weapon. I think I got that right

In Illinois on public land that requires a special permit DNR zones you must have a valid permit for that season. The exception is the youth hunt where you can call but cannot carry a weapon. I think I got that right

I agree that you should look at your regs to make sure that it is legal but i would guest that it would not be a proplem because your friend that is calling is not acually calling just my opinion.
