How Long to Wait?
 

Hey Guys,

I was out yesterday morning and called in a nice gobbler. He was about 70 yards out and would come no farther due to a small river between us. I can cross that water and get to the strutting area with no problems. I did not spook the bird yesterday, he simply walked away. should I get out tomorrow AM and try him in that strutting area? Or should I hold off a few more days? Thanks for the help.

Why wait? If he wasn't spooked go get him. Plus it would probably drive you crazy waiting a couple of days. Someone may come in and get him first.

If you didn't spook him, you were nothing more than an stubborn hen. Cross the creek tomorrow and try again. Chances are, you'll get him.
