Opener I Got Wet
 

The night before a cold front came in.
I get up early and go on public land.
I get there and hear another hunter on private land beside
the public land so I go father as to not mess up another hunter.

I go and get set up call for a while.
I must have been doing it all wrong because all I called up,
Was a pouring down rain.
Since I was better than a mile in the woods
I stood up aganst a tree till it stopped.
Then I sit back down and called some more.
It sounded like some turkeys to my left.
Then it got quiet.
Well it got late and I had to get home.
I thought my wife had to go to work.

OK
As I am walking out.
I hear a whistle.
I look and I hear it again.
Gues what it is the Game Warden.
With two other hunters walking with him.
He walks up to me and asks for my lic.
He checks me then him and the other two walk on.
About five minutes two more hunters walk up.
So I go to.

If I only knew what I was doing better.
I gues it will come in time.

After going home and thinking of what had happened.
I can think of so many thngs I should have done differently.
I supose its why its called experence LoL

Maybe I will start to reconize things better as I go.

Any way I didn't get that gobbler but maybe I am a little wiser.

I will keep going and I will get one some day

if you walked out of the woods having learned something it wasnt a wasted day.....i got rained on too this a.m., but it cleared up and turned into a beautiful day......
