Heading down to the Virginias....

Well...
I just purchased my hunting license for Virginia.:D
Will be heading down next Thursday for a week, maybe a little more, and am looking forward to it.
Going to be hunting the Lee district of the GWNF, which seems like a really good area.
Are there any bears out down there? I am kinda a little worried about being raided in the middle of the night by ol yogi the pickanicker basket snatcher.
I really cant wait to hunt a new state, and I have all my turkey hunting stuff inline.
All I gotta do is pack and get the last bit of my gear in order.
Anyone have any advice about this region? Or want to get together for a hunt?

RE: Heading down to the Virginias....

dont know how close the lee district of GWNF is to where i spend my time (Dry River district) but i have spent many, many days and nights in the forest camping, fishinig and 4-wheeling and have seen a bear or two in there. theyre not common, but theyre out there. the National forest is a great place, and VA is a great state! hope you have a successful hunt down here.
