I've taken one tom in Kansas. Lived here all my life but only went turkey hunting for the first time last spring and I'm hooked. I'll also be taking my son out on the youth hunt. It'll be his first and I hope he has a good time.

I'll be going out in the Flint Hills come opening day. I've been hunting turkey in KS for over 10 years now. There seems to be so many of them now though, that it's not quite the challenge as it used to be.

Yes, true. There seem to be a LOT of turkeys around lately. I suppose it is a blessing, especially after this years poor waterfowl season (for me), it will be nice to have such an opportunity.

I hunt Coffey, Franklin, and Osage counties. This year will be May 5-7 due to #2's due date. I grew up in that area and, during that time, Osage had a few small groups of birds, but that was about it. Now, they're absolutely everywhere. Last spring, everyone in our group took at least one bird on opening morning. Good luck to everyone this season and let us know how you do.
