Also, my call was an H.S. strut e-z cutter diaphram. Is this call good enough or should I envest in another?

It is better to learn to use one single call GOOD instead of having 100 that you can barely use.

I carry about 5 different calls with me. Some birds like "A" while others like call "B". Just depends on the birds.

The guy above made a good statement about the hens. I LOVE doing this. If you get that dominant hen pissed off, she will come in looking for a fight and the tom will follow.

I do this by taking two calls and calling VERY aggressively at the same time. It worked great for me last year and the tom followed right in. Shot him at about 25yds.

he could have very easily had a hen or two with him already. she just led him away from you. it happens, dont give up.
