Still flocked up in this part of PA

I was just out on a call in the country and had my mouth call in brushing up for the upcoming season when I turned a corner at a cut corn field and saw multiple birds. I had a chance to pull over and and watch the antics of the entire flock. I was able to count 46 hens and jakes with a lone long bird making up the majority of the flock...stragglin behind and off to the side was another 9 longbeards. I watched them through my binos I carry just for such an occassion and then proceeded on my way never disturbing the birds.

It was beautiful to see the sun shine off the longbeards whom displayed all their colors the sun could reflect....not one ever strutted and I didn't have my window down to listen but watching them it didn't appear as if any gobbled but then again, why would they?

The season can't get here fast enough.

they're still flocked here too....but with our season still over a month away i'm not surprised...we just had a good late winter snowfall here too...so i dont see them doing much more for a while...since i cant really scout their springtime haunts i guess i'll chalk up my box calls again...'scotchbrite' my slates again...touch up paint the dekes again...and 'tidy' up the vest.....again[&:]

They are still flocked up on my property in Bradford county as well. We actually seem to have an out of wack ratio of gobblers to hens, I have gotten around 500 turkey pics on my game cam in the last 2 months and only 2 of them were hens? All the rest were 2 year old or better gobblers. While this is exciting for the upcoming season, I don't know if this is necessarily a good thing for the population.......?

Anyhow, here are some pics of the one flock we have running around. You can't see all of them in these, but this flock has about 10-12 2 year old beards in it.

Actually your more than welcome to come up. I am a pretty good caller myself, but there will be a few weekends that I will be alone. The beginning part of the season I will be focused on getting a bird in for Dan, he hasn't killed a spring bird yet and we are going to be trying to tape him killing one with a bow, but after the first few weekends you are more than welcome up there and hunt with me. Last season I called in 3 birds in 2 days and was done then because I didn't have anyone else to call for.
