Well...I am looking for yet another way topass the time between now and the beginning of the season.
Tell me what your favorite kind of call is (i.e. slate, glass, diaghram, box) and I will update daily the results.:)

for the beginner i'd suggest either a box call or a slate call...i prefer the glass calls myself....can't go wrong with The Freak either.

I like glass calls and crystal. I like other pot style calls too, including slate, aluminum and sla-tek. I've been hearing alot about copper calls sounding nice, I may have to give that a shot.

The question was " favorite call' so i voted box call. I would use a glass call first however.

Thanks alot for the addition of the poll...really appreciate it:)
Why dont we turkey hunters have access to polling anyway?
Well, I have a Lohman slate that sounds incredible, so that would be my first choice...never really was a fan of glass.
Mouth calls are #2, with those new Primos stacked calls being my second favorite...those things sound awesome...very raspy:)

I prefer a slate , although I do carry a glass and a crystal as well . Never liked box calls and I can't use a diaphram call to save my life .

I voted other for this reason.........I have the ability to call from my own throat and voice box.......It has shown to be effective. I'm not sure how I do it.......but I can. Sounds silly I know.

I have to go with the slate type calls. I have used them with more success than any other type.
