How often do you get that ol' tom to come in to your call?
Unfortunatly I got them to respond last year, but I never got him hot enough to come to me.
Seem that they are gittin more educated!!!

well, last year was my first year turkey hunting, and i d idn't even find any turkeys, so needless to say none came in [&o]

depends what you consider coming in....within shooting range??or you KNOW that they were coming to your calls?? within shooting range i have a few come in dang near every season.....but if your talking ones that came in but got hung up because of terrain(ie..a creek) or hens stole them...another hunter chased him...or a case last year a jake beat a longbeard in.....or COWS...yes..milk heffers..stampedeed a BIG old boss tom as i took my saftey off...well i have them do that pretty much every hunt...every other hunt...sometimes i dont get any action....they are just quiet because of weather or what not....but most days i still get them to commit for the most part....just get stopped when they are getting closer.....but not in range...i find that more and more.....i really think the birds are getting to be smarter then us!....more and more guys are turkey hunting now then ever before.....though the turkey populations are expanding too..too many birds are just getting toooo smart....atleast around here.....back in the early 90s when dad started hunting turks he bagged one every year pretty muchthe first few days of his hunt....his buddy did the same.....they would stay in the mountains and fish the rest of the week...never seen another turkey hunter....now theres tons more turkey hunters....
