i wouldn't think twice about a 40 yard shot if you have confidence and know your gun will pattern like that. sounds like a good pattern to me if it's pretty consistent

There are over 550 pellets in the 4x5x7 loads.Most of which are # 7 hevi(330+#7 pellets).Still a great pattern for you too.

Well i shot it 3 times at 40 yards and the first shot was 15 second was 17 and the last was 12 so i think i am good to go. Thanks for the imput guys, now if you want to come to iowa and show me how to kill one of these crazy birds your more then welcome:D. I have done it for 5 years and no birds yet.... Hopefully this is the year.
