Power Owl by Primos
 

Hey i recently jus purchased the power owl by primos and cant figure out if im getting the right sound out of it. I sounds nothing like a normal basic owl. I was wondering if anyone has experience with it and if u can describe how it sounds. Thanks alot.

I can't stress this enough with people I talk to who think they need an owl call to hoot effectively: USE YOUR VOICE. You will be doing a realistic hoot in no time if you listen to recordings of owls and just imitate. Turkeys will never know the difference if you sound like an owl.

I'm at calling contests all the time with one of the nations best owlers, (placed top 5 at Grand Nationals last tow years) I was listening to him hoot on his competition call and asked him if he used it in the woods. "No I use my voice" was his response. One less thing to carry and your voice is much more versatile.

Ihave a power owl because I won it at a banquet, I think its way too quiet and have used much better hooters. Theres no "power" about the one I have. Try your voice I think you'll like it.

i was thinking about getting a hoot tube but i think i'll save the money and try my voice.

never heard or used one but im not impressed at all by the power owl its sounds more like a coyote or crow then it does an owl. I deff am going to use my vocie.
