RE: Indiana
BGHunter hows the turkey hunting in Tippecanoe co? I generally hunt Parke county. Is there any public land to hunt up there. Any other Indiana Hunters wanting to take a trip to Missouri this spring. Im headed to Grand river outfitters this spring. Let me tell ya it triples the turkeys I see here in Indiana. One morning I had 20 turkeys in the field 11 toms and 9 hens. I heard over 20 different gobblers that morning. Needless to say I did bring a nice longbeard home. Great accomedations at Grand River Outfitters.

RE: Indiana
Southern Indiana near Louisville , Kentucky .
There are tons of birds down here , I've had a flock that I estimated at over 100 pass by me before , mostly hens and poults but lots of toms and jakes too . Access to private land is getting harder to come by as trophy hunter mentioned , but fortunately our public properties are badly underutilized by turkey hunters , and we have plenty of public land down here . Say Josh , by any chance are you related to State Rep. Bill Friend ? |
RE: Indiana
Arrowmaster, It's really not that good. I hunt on about 100 acres adjacent to the Wabash River and have had good success the last three years. The turkeys are not over aboundant and finding a place to hunt them is difficult as there is no public property to hunt. Sounds like you have a great place there in MO.

RE: Indiana
Im not sure i dont think so, but i dont know our family is very big. I still in the process of looken for land to turkey hunt i have a couple private property places but theres not that many birds. Kevin1 sounds like you have a GREAT place to hunt. Hope you lay the smack down on some birds.

RE: Indiana
BGhunter00 The place I hunt in Missouri is awesome. I really enjoy hunting over there. You can take 2 birds. My outfitter makes sure you are taken care of. He has thousands of acres to hunt. Have you ever hunted Missouri? A turkey hunters paradise.

RE: Indiana
I have never hunted in MO. IN and SD are the only states I typically turkey hunt in.
