RE: turkey huntin in the mountains

This kind of goes along with was said already. If you find where turkeys are roosting it willmany timesbe 3/4 of the way up a hill to the top. This is for a couple reasons, 1) not as windy below the crest of the hill. 2) turkeys like to walk up a hill and then fly back out into the trees on the hill. Rather than flying from the bottom of a hill and trying to elevate into the trees up on the hill, they will walk up the hill and fly straight out into the trees on the hillside. They also like to fly down into the hill so many times will land about where they took off from the night before, hitting the ground above the tree they roosted in. Good luck.
