3.5 " hevi 13, what gives?
 

i just got off the phone with a lady from the manufacturer of hevi13. she informed me that they did produce a 3.5 " shell this year and a truckload should be deliverd to cabelas around the 19th...............i am wondering why their 3.5" shell is the same 1 3/4 oz load as the 3" shell from last year AND why it is only traveling at 1090................any thoughts?

i loved shooting this stuff the last couple years and was really looking foward to them coming out with a 3.5" to compete against the 3.5" win Xtended that i also loved to shoot last year...........

wow,
decided to double check my info and called back again. the same lady informed me that all they did was take last years 3" shell and add a 1/2" lentgh to it.

this year their 3" shell has been reduced to 1 5/8 oz.........

i then asked why did they make their 3.5" shell the same as last year's 3" shell and she said "just so we have a 3.5" shell"................honest answer, but i am really bummed now

The 3.5" shells probably cost more for the same thing also. What a bunch of BOLGNA!!!

Have you tried Remington Hevi -shot. It's an awesome load. I use 3.5 inches with 5 shot. I've heard the new hevi 13 is a good load but I'm sticking with Hevi-shot.

You can always pick up a box of 10 Hevi shot Nitro shells for $75.00.

Only the best will do. 75.00 is a little high. They do cost 25.00 though. That's ten turkeys for 25.00. Pretty good deal.

I don't shoot Hevi-shot..but I picked this info up on the NWTF Board..I called Nitro and the price quoted to me was for 10, she said there has been a price increase. $75 for 10 4x5x7 3.5 heavy shot.

Are we talking about 10 or 12 guage? I shoot 12. If this is true I better find me a new load.

I think the 12ga.3-1/2's went up $13 a box of 10 and the 3" went up $10.

i have tried the remington hevi hot. it wasn't even close to the hevi 13 or winchester xtended out of my 870 or 835...........

with the huge ripoff price increase of the nitros and the lack of ingenuity of the hevi13 this year, i'm gonna strictly shoot the winchester xtended.........

Winchester baby!!!! Won't buy nothing else... Don't need nothing else... They will get the job done every time...

I hunt in 40,000 acres of state forest... I really don't think you could get much past a 30 to 40 yards shot....

All those high $$$ loads must be for green field shootin huh???
