camo question
i just found a big camo burlap sheet. its like 54 inches x 12 feet. do you think that would work if i propped myself up against a log or a tree and drapped it over me? maybe cut some slits for my arms to stick threw? then i would only have to wear a camo shirt and a face mask or something.

RE: camo question
It may work. Are you bowhunting or using a shotgun? I have taken turkeys while sitting up against a oak tree, drapped my burlap sheet of mossy oak pattern over me, along with my other camo garments. I have never stood up with the burlap before for I always had the comfort of sitting up against a tree for better support and concealment, especially if the wind was to pick up. Good luck.

RE: camo question
im using a shotgun. it doesnt have any brand name pattern but its brown, black, and dark green. it doesnt really look like average camo but i think itll still work.

RE: camo question
Could you get some sticks and build a quck fence to hang the burlap from? Nothing fancy but it would help you conceal your movment to get ready for the shot. Use rocks to hold the burlap down so that the wind doesn't make it flap.

RE: camo question
yeah that sounds like a good idea. or i could find a log with some branches sticking out and get back in there. the rocks to hold it down is a good idea too. thanks

RE: camo question
The key to any turkey "camo" is movement. I've been deer hunting, sitting on the ground in regular camo and a blaze orange hat on and had turkeys walk in 15 yards from me and just look at me like I was a stump.
Just find something to break up your outline and be still. |
RE: camo question
I'd imagine it would work but it sounds like more work than just wearing camo pants.

RE: camo question
A blind's primary reason is to conceal movement. There isn't any need if one is still.

RE: camo question
That would probably work
