One or the other
 

Ok,A couple of recent posts got me to wonderin this.If you could only pick one or the other,Which would you pick? An average caller with very good woodsman skills or a world class caller with so-so woodsmanskills(or woodswoman skills for you Huntinma;)).Remember pick one or the other.

Average caller with very good woodsman skills. Of course, either side can argue that both abilities can be improved, but I believe its better to know your way through open landscapes than to be a world class caller. It is one thing to lose a gobbler, yet it is another thing to lose your way.

I know I aint goodngh to sit down against any ole tree,wip out the ole call and havem come runnin!!;)Woodsmanship feller any day of the week!!!:)

World Class Caller with woodsmanship thats why I hunt with ya , because you can do the old Squeeky gate call and all them easy PA farm turkeys come running ;) ...BT

Average calling skills and good woodsmanship! I have taken numerous turkeys over the years with just that.

:D:DAdrian,I'd still like for ya to teach me how to call them turkey in ONLY usin funny bodily noises after a night of hotwings and beer.:D:D I'm used to bein abused by Adrian and Bob:(but Vance I thought sure you would back me.:D:D

Woodsmanship or for a much betterterm, turkey hunting experience.
(You still must know how to hunt turkeys as well as call to them.)
So, by saying that, I'd go with the so-so caller with some actual turkey hunting experiencebehind his belt!!!

I would take woodsmanship and experience. I am living proof that it doesn't take a pro to call in an ole tom.:D
