Forcing Cone Work
Hey Ladies & Gents, Been a while since since I've been on the board. Looks like a ton of new members to swap stories and good info with
I'm throwing around the idea ofgetting my forcing cone lengthend and polished and was wondering if anybody had used Rhino to do the work on their Turkey Thumper and how it came out. OR- If you have used anyone else that might have done a jam up job. Thanks |

Adrian
I'm curious what kind of before and after difference it made in the pattern density.... Did you shoot itwith the same choke before thebarrel work was done? |
RE: Forcing Cone Work
Vance, I would think it changed it about 15% to the better ...BT

RE: Forcing Cone Work
Adrian, I would have to agree. As you know, I have had that forcing cone job done for quite awhile now on my gun.Let's just say that using a certain brand shell gives your patterna certain number of pellets, inside a certain size circle at 40 yards. 15% more pellets inside of that pattern, withjusta forcing cone job done, amounts to quite a lot more shot on target!!! For the cost of approx. $50-75.00 depending on whose doing the work, a forcing cone job is a heck of a bargain!!!;)

ORIGINAL: Adrian J Hare Vance, I would think it changed it about 15% to the better ...BT Maytom - If you dont mind me asking,, Did you have a local gunsmith do your barrel work or did you have to send it off to someone? I've been looking around locally trying to find one that could do it but they are either not set up for it or dont want to fool with it.... And before I sent it off to someone like Rhino or somebody elseI wanted to check and see if anyone could give me any feedback on their work.. Thanks for the help |
