Default wifi

if your cam has its own wifi & can connect to a phone with a data plan , will it also connect to a laptop when its in range?
cam is to be installed within reach of my home wifi & want to see it from my laptop but cant seem to get an answer from any manufacturer that makes me feel comfortable enough to buy one. Has anyone successfully done this or seen it done.
thanks in advance

I can connect to my Stealth Cam from my desk top, so I don't see any difference with a lap top. I had to initially set up the app on my phone, and pair with my Stealth Cam, and then I can get on the website and see everything on my desk top.

If I understand your question correctly, you want a game camera that connects to your computer by wifi. I'm not aware of any game cameras that transmit pictures by wifi. All the ones I've seen use a data plan from a cellular phone provider (usually AT&T or Verizon). If you want a camera that transmits by wifi, I believe you would need a security camera instead.
