Hi,

Checked my camera this morning, Mr. Big decided to show up last night, i'm not the best at ageing bucks as I don't see a lot of them, he's a nice 8 pointer if i'm correct. If someone has an estimate on how old he is that would be great.

Looks young to me. 2nd fall for him probably. 1.5yo in deer language.

Not much muscle definition, not any sway in his back or belly.

Stick a tag on him then check his birth certificate and you'll know for sure.

have to ask where /what state is this from
as size of deer matter and change based on states the live in IMO

But I agree, he looks to me to be about a 2.5-3.5 yr old buck , third set of antlers , OR again, could be his second set of antlers if in a PRIME state that deer grow bigger faster!
location matters, as do genetics!

My guess would place him at 3.5 to 4.5 years old.. Like Jake said shoot him and tag him and then find out..
