Big Bear
Nice looking boar. I would guess mid 200's.
I'd say he is over 350+ lbs, but very hard to tell from this picture for me
bears are just so hard to judge, as from one view to another they can seem bigger or smaller? |
Good looking bear!!
That boar will go 350# easily and probably break 400#, as he's the stud of a big area that he lives in!
That big boy will easily go 400 lbs and more by the time bear season rolls around. He hasn't been 200 lbs in a long time. Five and 600lb bears are taken every year in PA. We had one killed illegally that went over 800 lbs and took a Grisly bear form to mount him. He is on the Mt at our Cabelas store in Berk Co.
The more I look at that huge head and big gut the more I'm steering to closer to 500# than my earlier post.
His boys are hanging mighty low.:D Looks like he is battle scared on that huge head as well.
around 300 or a bit less is my guess, he'll put on possibly another hundred when he fattens up in the fall if you have acorns, beech or availability to a corn or soybean field. the neck looks to long for a 400 pounder, the bigger and heavier they get the shorter the neck appears to be.

Nice bear Scott! I wish his head was turned to the right more..the head size would help with my guess...:rolleye0011:
