I've had at least one summer buck get shot at the bottom of the mountain. So there's a chance you don't have to reach the summit. :D

Take a look at the "He's Still Growing!!!" thread. He's a 9-pointer now with a little bud sprouting for his 10th.

He sure is a Stud! That's a buck I would have to get mounted....:hail:
