Little bit of a variety from the homebrew trail cameras this past week.

Nice pics! The only perplexing thing is that it seems a little dark for them to be on the ground already in some of those pics. I know that here in Alabama, it is usually later in the morning, after it's pretty sunny, before they fly down.

They are usually on the ground here as soon as it is light enough for them to see any predators that might be in the area, sometimes I am really surprised how early they come down.
About the only thing that keeps them in the trees is windy, rainy weather, then I've seen them stay up there sometimes until noon but usually if the conditions aren't too severe they are down by 8:00 am or so.

Nice pics! Here they are on the ground the moment the sun starts to break the horizon as well. But my best turkey hunting always appear to be around 10am plus or minus half an hour..

Thank you and I agree, a full 90% or more of the birds I have taken were killed between the hours of 9:30am and 12:30pm. I call when I know their feet are on the ground but very rarely do they show up early unless it is a tom who has roosted alone and away from any hens.
