Should I buy a new Bushnell?

I have a Bushnell Trophy Cam (Bone Collector) from ~2008 'ish (no sound) - I'm tempted to piss off the wife and buy the Bushnell Trophy Cam HD (with sound - ~2012 version)

Anyone have any issues with the newer cameras? I mainly want the sound...

TSR6: I do not have the newer Bushnell cameras. I recently bought two Moultrie M880. These are excellent cameras. When set to video this is what they take. The older series would take a picture first, followed by a delay, then the video. The night video has be extended from 10 second to 30 second. Very fast trigger speed. There are several other options on it as well. Check out reviews at: http://www.chasingame.com or http://www.trailcampro.com Another camera I own is a SpyPoint BF7. This one is total black flash. Good luck.

If buying a new cam pisses the wife off, what do you do when you want a new gun?

Actually, I've bought more guns since I've been married to her than when we were dating.

I only got into the doghouse for one I bought her without telling her...

Either way, I bought the camera today. Bushnell Trophy Cam HD. Hopefully I'll have some video with sound shortly. I will also be posting some other videos from the old camera shortly...

Just curious, what's the point of sound on a trail cam video?

look into the Moultrie M990i

Thanks for the recommendation - but I stuck with Bushnell. I've been very happy with their products so far.

The Bushnell HD is nice, buddy of mine had used it for a long time, i've been a moultrie fan and the newer M990 with video is the best way yo go under 200. Compares to high end 4-500 cameras, he's left bushnell and gone with the 990 now. The field of view, trigger speed, recovery time, detection zone is wider then the picture so you dont lose out on pictures, you'd catch a cheetah on this thing and overall great camera. Either way GL!
