Anybody put a trail cam over a dead cow before?

Got a spot that's loaded with coyotes. Found a dead cow today that has been there for probably a week so I set an extra trail cam up on it to see what I get.

Anybody done this? Got any pics?

You should be able to get lots of pictures or videos of predators (depending how you have the camera configured). Good luck.

Using a wild game innovations cam, not sure what model but it takes decent pics. Wish I had an infared, that flash will probably spook the coyotes but well see.

I got it set up about 3 feet from the cow and it's up a small hill so it puts it at eye level with the coyotes.

Been out for two nights now, I'll probably wait one or two more nights then check it. I'll post up what I get.

Did you get any pics yet? :confused0024:

I left it out for a week or so and didn't have any. A few that had nothing and one with a single glowing eye, way out of range. It was big though, probably a cow.

i figured you would have had a ton of pictures, i set some cameras up a few years ago on some hog remains from where the farmer i hunt on butchered them, i had all kinds of predator pics, even had some bear pics

I'd say it was the elusive cycloptic North American Manbearpig. :happy0157:

Never a dead cow, but I do put the carcass of deer in our pasture along with a trail cam. So far, mostly just crows with some Eagles. Something big did come in as the carcass kept getting pulled further and further from the cam.

Yeah I figured I'd have at least one. There were some there it just didn't take a pic. A leg bone was drug about 20 yards away so I picked it up and put it back before I set the camera up. It was gone when I checked the camera.

I moved the camera about 50 yards away on a corn pile and got a picture of a coyote stealing a corn cob from the pile.

If I can get this other camera fixed or but another one I'm gonna use one just for predator bait piles.
