The deer found my camera... (video)

Looks like the deer found my camera - had a little spike get spooked, and then the doe came up and explored it...

Nice video. A couple of the deer have either detected sound from the camera or spotted the new object (camera) in the woods. The other doe appears to have spotted something but is not too concerned as she is just wondering around twitching her tail which is normal if not aroused or frightened. Thanks for sharing.

Good video, your prime concern though is if those young lings are picking up on the camera you may be missing video or pics of the older mature bucks that are far more cautious and just skirting the area.

i have yet to import the photos from one of my cameras and not have a photo of a deer, elk or moose's face right up against the lens. the cameras either make noise, have human odor or a combination of the 2. the photos still show up week after week regardless.

I'd be surprised if it makes any sound - It's a Bushnell Trophy Camera - never noticed anything myself (not saying it doesnt make sounds outside a human's audible range).

I agree... I'm thinking they may have already been "on guard" as I did drive into the woods up a trail just outside the camera's shot. I also wasn't as careful with scent, as I suspect my scent-away-spray has gone bad. I use it to freshen up clothes during the off reason (who doesn't re-wear a pair of pants occasionally... lol) - and I started to notice an "off" smell recently.

I usually get 2-3 deer a year that "inspect" my camera. Most of the "big bucks" haven't given a hoot about it...
